The Cloud is to provide Wi-Fi connectivity across 900 Superdrug stores after striking a deal with the UK high street retailer.

Shoppers visiting Superdrug branches nationwide will be able to access the internet on their mobile devices to browse the web and read product reviews.

Superdrug's Managing Director Matt Walburn said Wi-Fi will allow customers to access the web and gain "instant inspiration".

"The new technology will add an extra element of interaction and fun for our customers," he stated.

Vince Russell, Managing Director of The Cloud, said that with the new Wi-Fi service, Superdrug will be able to "take advantage of the mobile boom now and in the future".

An Ofcom study recently found that almost four in five mobile consumers are more likely to visit stores which offer wireless broadband services.
