Virgin Media has sweetened its range of broadband bundles with the launch of a 12 months' half-price offer.

UK households can now enjoy significant savings when signing up for the firm's Essential, Premiere and VIP Collections.

Virgin Media Essential is the entry-level bundle, offering up to 30Mb broadband, unlimited weekend calls to UK landlines and more than 100 television channels.

Subscribers also receive Virgin TV Anywhere, a 500GB TiVo box and a free installation.

The Essential Collection is currently priced at £13 per month for 12 months and then £26 per month for the remainder of the contract.

Subscribers are also required to pay a £14.99 per month line rental fee.

For those seeking faster broadband and more TV channels, the mid-priced Premiere Collection may be preferable.

This deal offers up to 60Mb broadband, Talk Weekends and more than 200 channels, and is priced at £24 per month for 12 months, rising to £48 per month plus line rental.

Subscribers also receive a 500GB TiVo box, Virgin TV Anywhere, a second TiVo box for a different room and a free installation.

If you're feeling flush, Virgin Media's top-of-the-range offer is the VIP Collection.

The bundle - priced at £49.50 per month for 12 months and then £99 per month - offers up to 100Mb download speeds, unlimited anytime calls and more than 225 TV channels.

The package also comes with a 1TB TiVo box, Virgin TV Anywhere, an extra HD box and a free installation.

Sky Sports F1, Sky Movies HD, Sky Sports 1 HD and Sky Sports 2 HD are all included as part of the broadband, home phone and TV bundle.

Consumers can save an additional £75 by signing up for their broadband deal online - however they will have to act quickly.

Virgin Media has described the deal as "a one week wonder", meaning UK households only have a limited time to take advantage.
