Virgin Media is continuing to increase the broadband speeds available to its fibre customers around the UK.
The broadband provider announced last year that its 10Mb, 20Mb, 30Mb and 50Mb subscribers would all gain a free upgrade - with download capabilities doubled at no extra charge.
In addition, 100Mb broadband customers are being migrated onto a 120Mb deal - the fastest Virgin Media's network can currently support.
In its latest customer update, the firm revealed that some 3.4 million subscribers have already seen their download speeds doubled.
Other customers are able to find out when their upgrade has been scheduled via the Virgin Media website.
"No one else has doubled broadband speeds at no extra cost," the TV, home phone and internet provider stated.
"We’re always looking to add value to your package and we’ve got lots of exciting new services up our sleeves too so your Virgin Media experience will just keep getting better."
Virgin Media is currently running a number of broadband deals for new customers seeking high-speed and super-fast web services.
The firm is offering six months' half-price or better on its broadband, phone and TV Collections, which are available from just £13 per month - rising to £26 per month - for Virgin Media Essential.
This broadband deal offers up to 30Mb fibre services, unlimited weekend calls and Virgin Media TV anywhere with a 500Gb TiVo Box.
Virgin Media's Premiere Collection - priced at £24 per month, rising to £48 per month - offers up to 60Mb broadband, weekend calls, Virgin TV Anywhere with more than 200 channels, a 500GB TiVo box and a free connection.
And the VIP Collection - priced at £49.50 for six months, rising to £99 per month - offers up to 100Mb broadband, anytime calls, 225+ TV channels and a 1TB TiVo box.
Each of the Virgin Media broadband bundles comes with a free connection, adding to the savings available to new customers.
UK households can also sign up for Virgin Media's up to 30Mb broadband connection with six months' free when they take home phone and landline services.
