Red Bee Media has signed a multi-year agreement to provide playout, channel and media management services for BT Sport.

The media services company - which helped design the logo for the new pay-TV platform - will assist with the creation of its brand and channel identities.

BT Sport - which is set to launch in August - will be available to viewers 24 hours a day in both standard and high definition.

Patrick Tillieux, Chief Executive Officer at Red Bee Media, said the firm was "delighted" to have been chosen to provide "critical services" for BT Sport.

"We look forward to working with BT on this exciting launch and to extending and developing our relationship further over the coming months," he stated.

Grant Best, Senior Channel Executive Producer at BT Sport, said it is "vitally important" for the firm to have "complete confidence" in its ability to deliver amazing live sports coverage.

"We chose Red Bee Media because of its impressive expertise in supporting this type of live event broadcasting," he stated.

"We are happy to extend our relationship with Red Bee Media, having already chosen them to help us with the design of the BT Sport logo."

BT Sport has the rights to show 38 live games a season from the Barclays Premier League, including 18 of the top clashes, plus up to 69 live rugby union games a season from the Aviva Premiership and action from the Women's Tennis Association tour.
