Primus is offering broadband deal subscribers even greater value for money by doubling its monthly usage allowance.

The service provider has increased the data cap on its £1.20 per month broadband deal from 20GB per month to 40GB, reports ISPreview.co.uk.

Primus is running the Spring Upgrade offer until April 30th, for new subscribers who use the UPGRADE40 promotion code when registering.

The firm's Phone + Broadband package offers download speeds of up to 15Mb, or up to 24Mb for those with an ADSL2+ connection.

Customers also receive a free wireless broadband router, enabling users to get online across a range of different devices throughout the home.

They can also save money courtesy of a free activation and free technical support.

Evening and weekend calls to UK landlines are included as part of the broadband package, with daytime calls charged at 7.4p per minute.

All Primus subscribers are required to pay £13.99 line rental with the firm, unless they choose to pay in advance for the year (£10 per month).

The increased data allowance should give Primus subscribers more opportunity to take advantage of online video and other high-bandwidth applications.

However, customers should note that data use over the monthly usage allowance is charged at £2 per GB.
