TalkTalk Plus TV subscribers with a YouView box can now enjoy content on the Digital Theatre Channel.

The TV, home phone and broadband provider says it is bringing the theatre to the small screen with the launch of the channel.

Laurence Miall, Director of TV at TalkTalk, noted that viewers can enjoy performances from David Tennant and Catherine Tate in Shakespeare's Much Ado about Nothing, see Jonathan Pryce in King Lear and watch a new version of Ibsen's The Doll’s House.

"The channel works with leading theatre companies to capture live performances authentically onscreen, using multiple camera angles and high-definition technology," she noted.

Ms Miall explained that the Digital Theatre Channel is updated each month with "gripping performances" across different genres.

"So instead of paying upwards of £200 for a family ticket in the West End, TalkTalk customers can enjoy performances at home for just £3 whenever they like," she stated.

The new channel is the latest addition to TalkTalk’s television service - which recently gained the Karaoke Channel and Concert TV.
