Virgin Media news

Virgin Media has added Vintage TV to its subscription television service, giving music fans the chance to enjoy the sounds of yesteryear.

The channel features music videos, original programming and classic concert footage, along with interview features and documentaries.

All 3.8 million of Virgin Media's pay-TV customers are able to tune into Vintage TV on channel 343.

David Pick, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Vintage Entertainment Limited, said the channel fulfils the appetite of the UK's music lovers for "the very best content – music that stands the test of time".

"We're absolutely delighted to be making our channel available for Virgin Media customers," he stated.

To celebrate the launch of Vintage TV, Virgin Media conducted a survey to find out which music legend UK fans would love to spend time with.

Glam rockers Queen topped the poll, ahead of David Bowie, Stevie Wonder, Fleetwood Mac and Oasis.

Richard Wheeler, Head of Content Acquisition at Virgin Media, commented: "Queen still proves the show must go on as the UK continues to enjoy some of the best songs from the last century on Vintage TV."
