EE remains on course to offer double-speed 4G services across ten major UK cities by the summer.
The broadband provider confirmed that consumers and businesses in Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester and Sheffield will have access to faster mobile broadband.
Back in April, EE announced that download speeds of up to 80Mb would become available in selected urban locations later in 2013.
And the upgrade should ensure continued quality of service for EE dongle, tablet and smartphone users across the ten cities.
"EE’s super-fast 4G offers a revolutionary mobile internet experience, delivering speeds typically five times faster than 3G," the company stated.
"The power of 4G enables consumers to push the limits of their devices even further, allowing them to download, stream and browse the content they want, quicker than ever before."
EE became the first service provider to launch 4G mobile broadband in the UK back in October 2012, using spectrum in the 1,800MHz frequency band.
