Plusnet has launched a new deal offering discount home broadband and calls - plus £25 cashback - to customers subscribing over the internet.

The online exclusive deal sees customers offered 12 months' half-price internet and home phone services with Plusnet's Essentials and Unlimited broadband deals.

Customers signing up on an 18-month contract are also entitled to £25 credit when they join, helping to further reduce the cost of broadband and calls.

The offer is set to run until July 9th 2013, meaning customers have three weeks to take advantage of a new deal with Plusnet.

Households taking out the firm's Essentials Broadband and Calls package receive up to 16Mb download speeds, a 10GB monthly usage allowance and unlimited overnight data.

The broadband package also includes a wireless router, a free connection worth £25, security software and 24/7 UK-based customer support.

Weekend calls to UK landlines - as well as free anytime calls to other Plusnet customers - are also included as part of the deal.

Essentials Broadband and Calls is initially priced at £2.99 per month plus line rental, down from the normal price of £5.99 per month plus line rental.

Customers also have the option of upgrading to Plusnet Anytime calls for an additional £5 per month, or Plusnet Anytime International 300 for £7 per month.

For those with a greater appetite for data, Plusnet Unlimited Broadband and Calls is currently reduced from £9.99 per month plus line rental to £4.99 per month.

As with the entry-level broadband package, the deal offers up to 16Mb download speeds, but this time with no data cap.

Again, a wireless broadband router and free activation are included, along with weekend calls, security software and 24/7 UK-based customer support.

Plusnet describes this higher-tier deal as being "a perfect package for large families, downloaders and gamers".
