A free connection is included for customers signing up for TalkTalk Essentials over the internet, while they also receive a free router.

Households needing a new line receive £50 welcome credit - potentially adding to the savings they can make with a TalkTalk broadband package.

After three months, when the free anytime calls offer expires, the broadband deal includes evening and weekend calls to UK landlines.

Customers also receive ten per cent off the 16 numbers they call most frequently.

For the first six months, all customers are required to pay is their monthly line rental fee of £14.95.

This can be reduced to the equivalent of £9.50 per month if paid in one instalment.

After the six months' free broadband period, the price reverts to the standard £6.50 per month plus line rental for the remainder of a 12-month contract.
