Virgin Media is now offering £50 account credit to customers signing up for its Starter and Essential Collections over the internet.

Consumers joining Virgin Media via the web can also take advantage of half-price broadband, home phone and TV services for six months, and a free connection.

The Starter Collection offers up to 30Mb fibre broadband, an unlimited monthly usage allowance and a free Virgin Media Super Hub.

Consumers are also able to take advantage of unlimited weekend calls to UK landlines and Virgin Mobile numbers.

In terms of TV services, they receive more than 60 channels - five of which are in HD - a 500GB TiVo box and a free installation.

Virgin Media's Starter Collection is initially priced at £9 per month plus line rental, rising to £18 per month plus line rental after the introductory discount period.

The £50 account credit offer also applies to the Essential Collection, which includes up to 30Mb unlimited broadband, a free Super Hub router, unlimited weekend calls and pay-TV services.

With this bundle, subscribers receive more than 100 TV channels, six of which are in HD.

As well as a 500GB TiVo box, they receive access to Virgin TV Anywhere, which enables customers to enjoy pay-TV content on the move.

The bundle is priced at £13 per month for six months, rising to £26 per month. A line rental fee of £14.99 per month applies from the beginning of the deal.

Consumers signing up for both Virgin Media broadband bundles - Starter and Essential - are required to take out an 18-month contract.

Would-be subscribers have until June 18th to take advantage of the current broadband deals.
