Virgin Media has kick-started its sponsorship of the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games by finding out what Glaswegians love about their city.
The broadband provider sent 100 members of staff out into Scotland's second city to ask residents for their top tourist tips - on the best views, bars and restaurants, and hidden gems.
They were also asked to explain what is so great about Glasgow by tweeting @VMKeepUp using the hashtag #VMGlasgow2014.
Some of the best responses included @bigj1912 saying "I love Glasgow because deep fried pizzas would be illegal in any other city", and @dipo356 noting "I love Glasgow cos its becoming a more diverse city".
Jeff Dodds, Chief Marketing Officer at Virgin Media, said the company "can’t wait" for the Commonwealth Games to begin next year.
"We wanted to create a taste of the atmosphere and fun the Games can bring," he stated.
"We thought that no one could shed light on the best bits of Glasgow better than Glaswegians themselves."
The Commonwealth Games will take place in Glasgow from July 23rd to August 3rd 2014.
