EE offers the fastest mobile broadband services in three major UK cities, it has been reported.
The broadband provider has been named the RootScore Award Winner for Belfast, Edinburgh and Glasgow, based upon the speeds delivered over its 3G and 4G networks.
RootMetrics conducted more than 26,000 mobile performance tests in Belfast and Edinburgh, and over 30,000 in Glasgow, comparing the performances of EE, Vodafone, O2 and Three.
In Edinburgh, EE achieved average download speeds - combining both 3G and 4G - of 17.1Mb, while average uploads were recorded at 11Mb.
These results were almost 10Mb faster for downloads than any other mobile operator in the study.
EE also came top for mobile internet performance in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Belfast.
The broadband provider rolled out 4G services in Edinburgh and Glasgow in October 2012, and in Belfast last December.
Double-speed 4G launched in the two Scottish cities in July 2013, allowing tablet and dongle users to enjoy even faster mobile broadband services.
