Sky's internet-powered television service, NOW TV, has launched on the PlayStation 3.
The service offers instant access to Sky Movies and Sky Sports with no contract, set-up costs or installation.
Users can now connect their PS3 to their TV and home Wi-Fi network to watch NOW TV on their main television set.
The service is already available across a broad range of internet-connected devices, including laptops, YouView, Roku, selected smartphones and mobile devices.
Gidon Katz, Director of NOW TV, said more consumers are "demanding easy access to a greater choice of high-quality entertainment" over internet-connected devices, and "NOW TV is here to meet that demand".
"Following the addition of PlayStation 3, our customers now have another way of streaming to their main TV screen, while continuing to enjoy access out and about via iPad and smartphones," he stated.
"At the same time as we’re rolling NOW TV out to new platforms and devices, we’re also preparing to increase the range and choice of great Sky content that our customers can access."
Fergal Gara, Vice-President and Managing Director for Sony Computer Entertainment UK, said adding Sky content via NOW TV to the PS3 is "a real boon" for millions of UK consumers.
"Streaming great and exclusive sports and movie content to the family TV is a huge enhancement to the PlayStation entertainment portfolio," he stated.
NOW TV recently introduced a £9.99 Sky Sports Day pass, which allows customers to enjoy live action on a pay-as-you-go basis.
Subscribers will be able to enjoy Ashes cricket, Premier League football, Formula One coverage, the golf majors and Heineken Cup rugby union, plus much more.
