'Britain’s Got Talent' (BGT) topped Virgin Media's The Hotlist for the second month running in June, as reality TV shows dominated the charts.
BGT and 'The Voice' were the UK's most-talked-about TV shows last month, followed by 'Les Dawson: An Audience With…', 'Coronation Street', 'Dates' and 'The White Queen'.
In terms of engagement - measured by social media mentions - it was a clean sweep for the reality brigade, with BGT leading the way ahead of 'The Voice UK', 'Made in Chelsea', 'The Only Way is Essex' (TOWIE) and 'Big Brother'.
"BGT has topped The Hotlist again, showing that the nation is still tuning in to the talent show in their droves, with the season finale in particular benefiting from nine million YouTube views," Virgin Media stated.
"The final of BBC’s second series of 'The Voice UK' took the number two slot, with social media buzzing about who the winner should be. Many fans took to their feeds to claim Leah McFall should have taken the prize over this year’s champion Andrea Begley."
Virgin Media noted that the UK’s love affair with reality TV "shows no sign of wavering", with TOWIE's season opener in Marbella and the 'Big Brother' opening day setting tongues wagging.
