The wait is over for American Football fans, as live NFL action returns to Sky Sports this week.

Subscribers can enjoy three live games from the Week 1 schedule, starting with the Baltimore Ravens @ Denver Broncos on Thursday September 5th.

The regular season opener - a rematch of the AFC Divisional Round play-off from the previous campaign - will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Ashes and Sky Sports Ashes HD at 00:00 BST.

Denver will be looking for revenge after Baltimore stole victory in overtime in their January match-up, proceeding to the AFC Championship Game and ultimately the Super Bowl.

Traditionally the Super Bowl winners open the new season at home, however the Ravens are forced to travel to the Broncos due to a scheduling conflict with baseball's Baltimore Orioles.

The live NFL action continues on Sunday September 8th with two more eagerly-anticipated Week 1 clashes.

New Orleans Saints @ Atlanta Falcons is live on Sky Sports Ashes and Sky Sports Ashes HD at 15:30 BST, while Green Bay Packers @ San Francisco 49ers follows at 21:00 BST.
