iOS device users can now take advantage of new features on the BT Sport app.

Customers with an Apple iPad can now watch in full-screen mode simply by rotating their tablet, rather than manually switching.

In addition, carrier information and the battery icon have been removed from the app when in full-screen mode - creating additional space for the BT Sport action.

BT Sport has also improved its live scores feature, which now supports matches that go to extra time and penalties.

The BT app enables consumers to tune into BT Sport 1, BT Sport 2 and ESPN on the move via a range of devices.

All BT broadband customers can use the app to watch the provider's sporting content at no extra cost.

BT Sport is free for all customers with a broadband subscription with the firm, although customers wishing to watch the channels through their television set need to sign up for BT TV services.

Non-TV subscribers can only access BT Sport via the app and online player.
