Sky Go (generic banner)

An increasing number of Android devices can now run the Sky Go app, it has been reported.

Subscribers with a HTC One SV, Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Sony Xperia Z1, Sony Xperia Z Ultra, Sony Xperia M or LG G2 can now access the mobile TV service.

Consumers can now run the application - which can be downloaded for free from Google Play - on 45 different Android devices.

According to Recombu, Sky is also running tests with a view to offering Sky Go on Android tablets with screens larger than seven inches.

The news provider says the firm has conducted tests with the Asus Transformer Prime, Google Nexus 10 and Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1.

Last month, E4 and Film4 became the latest channels to be added to the Sky Go line-up, meaning there are now 49 for users to choose from in total.

The service is free to Sky TV customers, but can be upgraded to Sky Go Extra for £5 per month.

Customers paying for the add-on can watch Sky content on up to four devices, and also download films or TV shows to be watched online at a later date.
