TalkTalk added another 5,000 broadband customers to its subscriber base during the third quarter of 2013, it has been revealed.

The firm - which offers home broadband, landline, mobile and TV services - saw the fourth consecutive quarter of net additions.

With more TalkTalk subscribers signing up for broadband bundles, average revenue per customer rose by 2.8 per cent to £26.08.

TalkTalk introduced two new broadband packages during Q3 2013 - Essentials TV and Simply Broadband.

The Essentials TV deal - which is priced at £7.50 per month - offers unlimited broadband, free evening and weekend calls and a lower-cost, non-recording YouView box.

TalkTalk Simply Broadband - which is priced at £2.50 per month - is an entry-level package offering internet services without bundled home phone calls.

The firm said the deal is designed to meet the needs of modern households that make little use of their fixed-line voice service.

Dido Harding, Chief Executive of TalkTalk, said the company is "delighted" with the progress it is making.

She claimed the firm's new products have performed well, helping the broadband provider deliver its third successive quarter of accelerating revenue growth.

This has enabled TalkTalk to raise its guidance for full-year revenue growth from two per cent to at least three per cent.

"We are increasingly confident about the opportunity we have to deliver sustainable growth by bringing affordable connectivity and innovative new products to Britain’s consumers and businesses," Ms Harding stated.

"As a result, we are also raising our guidance for medium-term revenue growth, from two per cent to four per cent."
