Broadband provider Virgin Media has received industry recognition for its commitment to delivering a high quality customer experience.

The firm won a number of awards - including Customer Service Team of the Year - at the recent 2013 Top 50 Call Centres and European Call Centre Awards event.

As reported by ISPreview.co.uk, Virgin Media's Bruce Christine claimed the Customer Service Team Leader of the Year gong, while Ian Armitage emerged triumphant in the Customer Service Business Leader of the Year category.

Speaking to the news provider, Gareth Kokot, Team Manager at Virgin Media, commented that the company's employees "go the extra mile" to deliver great levels of service.

He claimed the firm "puts customers at the heart of everything we do".

"To have these efforts recognised by a panel of expert judges is fantastic and we’re incredibly proud of Virgin Media’s very own European Call Centre Awards Team of the Year," Mr Kokot stated.

Nick Davey, Programme Director for 2013 Top 50 Call Centres and European Call Centre Awards, congratulated all the winners for their "outstanding achievements" over the past 12 months.

He said it is "always thrilling" to see how the industry develops year-on-year.

"Technology is having a great impact on how customers are provided with increasingly better service and I’m looking forward to seeing what next year brings," Mr Davey added.
