A new study has revealed EE offers the fastest mobile broadband speeds in Liverpool.
Research conducted by consumer advocate RootMetrics in November 2013 found that EE delivers faster mobile data transfers than its rivals in the city - O2, Vodafone and Three.
EE achieved average download speeds of 24.5Mb and upload speeds of 15.1Mb in Liverpool, almost 7Mb faster than any other operator.
However, O2 and Vodafone - two firms which recently launched 4G services in the Liverpool area - recorded significantly faster speeds compared to June 2013.
O2’s average download speed increased from 3.5Mb to 11.5Mb, while Vodafone saw a rise from 5.3Mb to 11.4Mb.
EE first launched 4G services in Liverpool in October 2012 and introduced double-speed 4G services in July 2013.
The firm is aiming to provide 98 per cent next-generation network coverage in the UK by the end of next year.
