BT has launched a smaller and sleeker version of its YouView+ set-top box, which will be made available to new TV subscribers.
The design has the same distinct style as BT's Home Hub 4 and Hub 5 wireless routers, with downlit LEDs used to indicate power, record and broadband functions.
BT has removed the fan from its YouView+ device, meaning it now takes up less space.
In addition, the set-top box has a faster start up time and offers easier navigation of the TV programme menu.
Users can pause and rewind live TV and record up to two channels at once.
The box - which comes with a new remote control - has a 500GB hard drive, enabling users to store up to 300 hours of SD TV or 125 hours of HD TV recordings.
Alex Green, Director of BT TV, said the new YouView+ box from BT has "all the functions and features that viewers love about the service, but it’s even better".
"It’s been a big hit with customers who have already tried it out," he stated.
"They’ve said it is smaller, quieter and faster. The new YouView+ box from BT has been designed in the style of other BT devices, so will look great in any living room."
