Vodafone has launched a new service for businesses seeking high-quality, seamless 3G and 4G mobile coverage in the workplace.

Sure Signal Premium - which is designed for companies with 320 or more employees and more than 3,200 square metres of floor space - connects securely to Vodafone's UK network.

The first enterprise-grade indoor mobile coverage solution of its kind in the UK, it has been developed by Vodafone in partnership with NEC and SpiderCloud Wireless.

Fergal Kelly, Chief Technology Officer at Vodafone, said the rise of mobile technology solutions, apps and bring-your-own-device schemes means high-quality, high-speed coverage "is no longer just a nice-to-have for business".

"With Sure Signal Premium, large businesses can satisfy rising indoor capacity and coverage demands in a highly integrated, well-managed way," he stated.

Mr Kelly said the new service is "just one benefit" of the £900 million Vodafone spent in 2013 on its fixed and mobile network in the UK.

"This is one of the reasons 72 per cent of FTSE 100 companies choose Vodafone to meet their communications needs."
