TalkTalk is giving new customers the chance to save £2.50 per month when signing up for its entry-level broadband, home phone and TV package.

For a limited time only, TalkTalk Essentials TV is available for £5 per month plus line rental for six months, rising to £7.50 per month, plus line rental thereafter.

In addition, the broadband provider is offering a three-month free subscription to PictureBox Films, which allows viewers to watch on-demand movies via TalkTalk TV.

A host of titles - including seven new films every week - are available to subscribers with a YouView set-top box, which is included for free as part of a TalkTalk Essentials bundle.

The device allows viewers to pause and rewind live television, take advantage of seven-day catch-up services and enjoy content on-demand.

Ordinarily, the Essentials TV YouView box - which does not include recording functions - costs £149 to buy, but it is included for free as part of this triple-play deal.

TV Boosts - including the Kids' Boost, Sky Movies and Sky Sports - are available to viewers seeking premium channels, priced at between £5 and £40 per month.

In terms of internet services, Essentials TV subscribers can download at speeds of up to 16Mb and consume as much data as they like each month.

The broadband deal also comes with inclusive evening and weekend calls to UK landlines, with home phone upgrade options also available.

A free connection is included, along with free line installation - which is ordinarily priced at £20 - where applicable.

Households are required to sign up for TalkTalk Essentials TV for a minimum term of 18 months, with the discount broadband offer applying for the first half-year period.
