Tesco has launched a new deal offering 12 months' free broadband to new subscribers.

Customers signing up for the firm's Tesco Broadband package pay nothing except line rental for the first year of their deal.

They simply need to use the 'BBSAVER' promotion code when signing up.

The broadband deal offers download speeds of up to 16Mb and an unlimited monthly usage allowance.

Subscribers receive a free wireless broadband router as part of the deal, allowing them to get online via a range of devices anywhere in the house.

With Tesco Broadband, customers only pay for the home phone calls they make and line rental - there is no inclusive calls add-on.

After the expiry of the introductory offer period, the price reverts to £6 per month plus line rental.

Tesco is running a second broadband deal that offers more than 50 per cent off the price of its Broadband with the Anytime Calls bundle for 12 months.

New subscribers using the 'BBSAVER' promotion code can pay just £5 per month plus line rental for the first 12 months, rising to £11 per month thereafter.

The deal allows customers to phone other landline customers at any time.

They can also take advantage of free call features such as Last Caller ID, Withhold Number, Directory Enquiries and free calls to other Tesco Homephone customers.

Tesco broadband subscribers receive free Clubcard points on every bill, giving them the opportunity to make in-store savings with the supermarket giant.
