Basketball fans will be readying themselves for a late night, as BT Sport gears up to broadcast the 2014 NBA Draft.

The annual player selection event takes place tonight (Thursday June 26th) at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Viewers will be able to see where the hotly-tipped basketball stars of the future end up ahead of the new season, which commences in October.

BT Sport shows up to 200 live matches each season from the NBA - the world's premier league - having agreed a multi-year TV deal last November.

The draft is a key date in the calendar, with the teams taking turns to select amateur US college basketball players, and other eligibles.

Having won the draft lottery on May 20th, the Cleveland Cavaliers will have the first overall pick.
