EE news

EE continues to be the fastest mobile broadband provider in London, a study has revealed.

The latest RootMetrics survey of 3G and 4G coverage - conducted in March 2014 - revealed EE still has the edge on Vodafone, O2 and Three.

This is despite the three mobile broadband providers launching their own next-generation networks in the capital last year.

According to ISPreview.co.uk, EE's network delivers average download speeds of 17.8Mb, compared to 10.1Mb for Vodafone, 9.6Mb for O2 and 6.5Mb for Three.

EE was also the fastest broadband provider in terms of upload speeds, achieving an average of 9.3Mb.

The nearest challenger was again Vodafone with 3.8Mb, followed by O2 (3.2Mb) and Three (2.0Mb).

In terms of network reliability, EE and Three tied for first place in the Rootmetrics chart, although EE triumphed in the mobile internet performance category.

The firm was named the Rootscore Award Winner for Overall Performance for the third consecutive time in London.
