TalkTalk's YouView-based television service is "like chocolate cake", according to one industry commentator.
Writing for the TalkTalk blog, Helen Thomas said consumers love YouView, even in its most basic form.
But - rather like a big, thick slice of the rich chocolate cake - the service can be even better with a few special additions.
Ms Thomas explained that there's "a whole host of extras" you can pile on top to make YouView even more enticing.
She isn't talking about whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles - rather the wide range of TV Boosts and On Demand options available to TalkTalk TV viewers.
"YouView has a gargantuan library of TV, film and radio you can watch when you want, so you can search for a specific programme," Ms Thomas stated.
"Or if you’re feeling whimsical, opt for a genre and see what YouView has on offer that suits your mood."
Among the add-ons available on YouView is the Sky Sports Boost - which offers month-by-month access to the premium channel pack.
Viewers can watch all the latest action on Sky Sports 1, Sky Sports 2, Sky Sports 3, Sky Sports 4 and Sky Sports F1 via their set-top box.
Another option is to rent films from TalkTalk Box Office, which is accessible via the TalkTalk Player app on YouView.
Ms Thomas explained that viewers can watch the latest Hollywood blockbusters, including many titles on the same day they are released on DVD.
"If you want even more silver screen action, you can add the Sky Movies Boost to it, which gets you all 11 Sky Movies channels live and on demand for a month," she added.
"It costs around the same as a cinema ticket, so even if you only watch a film a week, each one will still cost you less than the average cinema snack."
