BT TV customers can watch live European football coverage on the new Sky Sports channel, which launched this week.

Subscribers will be able to access Sky Sports 5 on channel 524 via their BT Vision+ set-top box, and as such, will be able to watch up to 600 more games per season.

The new channel will be the home for Sky Sports' coverage of Spanish and Dutch football, along with the UEFA Champions League and European qualifiers.

Existing BT TV customers with both Sky Sports 1 and Sky Sports 2 on a super-fast Infinity package will receive Sky Sports 5 at no extra cost.

And new subscribers who order the Sky Sports content pack with Infinity will also get Sky Sports 5 automatically.

Despite the launch of Sky Sports 5, the price of this Sky Sports package for BT TV customers is not rising; it will remain at £21 per month.

Sky Sports 5 will also be available to BT copper broadband customers who have Sky Sports 1 and Sky Sports 2.

However, the new channel will not become available on this platform until September 5th.
