BT has launched a new broadband deal, giving consumers the chance to access unlimited downloads for just £5 per month.

The telecoms giant has cut the price of its Unlimited Broadband package, which offers up to 17Mb download speeds with no usage cap.

New customers signing up online can pay £5 per month plus line rental for the duration of their 12-month contract, with a free line connection included.

They also receive a free £25 Sainsbury's voucher, which can be used to make savings at the supermarket chain.

As well as unlimited high-speed broadband, customers can take advantage of weekend calls to UK landlines.

Subscribers have the option of upgrading to anytime phone calls for an additional £7.50 per month.

As part of their Unlimited Broadband deal, customers receive a free wireless router, unlimited BT Wi-Fi minutes, BT SmartTalk and BT Parental controls.

Customers also have access to the BT Sport service online and via the BT Sport app. This means broadband subscribers can watch Barclays Premier League football, Aviva Premiership rugby union, NBA basketball and more, regardless of whether they have a BT TV contract.
