TalkTalk has launched a new TV Boost designed to offer another viewing option to its YouView television customers.

The service provider has agreed a deal with NBCUniversal to bring a number of hit US series - including 'Suits', 'Grimm' and '30 Rock' - to TalkTalk TV.

All TalkTalk customers with an Essentials TV or Plus TV triple-play package will be able to sign up for the TVBox Boost on a flexible, non-contract basis.

For £5 per month, they can enjoy unlimited access to on-demand content; providing, of course, they have connected their YouView box to their broadband line.

To give viewers a taste of the action, TalkTalk is making the TVBox Boost free for the first month.

Olivia Streatfeild, Commercial Director at TalkTalk, said the launch of the new add-on is "a really exciting step forward" for the firm's YouView service.

"We want to give our customers access to even more great TV at a great price, and this partnership with NBCUniversal does just that," she stated.

"As our service grows, so do our ambitions; we're innovating with on demand content and this is another example of how TV from TalkTalk just keeps getting better."

NBCUniversal International Television's European Vice-President of Strategy Development & Analysis Jay McNamara said his firm is "thrilled" to expand on its partnership with TalkTalk.

"Through this service, subscribers will now have access to the best NBCUniversal TV series in an exciting box set format," he noted.

TalkTalk television customers already have a number of other TV Boosts to choose from.

They can add Sky Sports, Sky Movies, entertainment channels, childrens' content and more to their package, as and when they like.

Each of the add-ons can be taken with no long-term commitment, giving viewers maximum flexibility with their TV subscription.
