Tesco has launched a new deal giving UK households the chance to enjoy free unlimited broadband for a whole year.

For a limited time, the company is offering up to 16Mb broadband to new customers at no charge, other than monthly line rental.

After 12 months, the price reverts to the standard £6 per month plus line rental.

Subscribers receive a free wireless router, allowing them to get online from a range of devices, anywhere in the home.

There are no inclusive calls with the package, meaning customers only pay for the home phone minutes they actually use.

Free calls to other Tesco Homephone customers are included as part of the deal, along with Last Caller ID, Withhold Number, and Directory Enquiries features.

The package also offers free Tesco Internet Security and UK call centre services.

Subscribers receive free Clubcard points on every bill, which can lead to savings on a future Tesco shop.
