Virgin Media has launched a new advertising campaign to promote the content available to TV subscribers through Virgin Movies, Sky Movies and Netflix.

In the ads, viewers will get to meet a number of new characters - including Ed the Sofa Bear and Ally the Night Owl - who love to watch TV in their own way.

In the first ad - 'Sofa Bear' - a brown bear called Ed lays stretched out on a sofa watching 'The Wolf of Wall Street' while his human housemate tidies up around him.

The voiceover explains that Sofa Bears like Ed often hibernate in front of the TV for entire weekends - and they love the content choices available on Virgin Media's bundles.

In the second ad - 'Night Owl' - Ally the barn owl is seen perching on an armchair in a darkened living room, lit only by the flickering light from the TV.

The voiceover explains that Night Owls like Ally often stay up late watching shows, and can be identified by their frequent call up the stairs of 'Just one more episode'.

Richard Larcombe, Director of Brand and Marketing at Virgin Media, claimed the service provider offers all the top shows and films, from 'Breaking Bad' to 'The Lego Movie'.

"Customers love searching the vast range of shows, Box Sets and films whether they’re at home or on the go," he stated.

"In our new campaign, we want to celebrate the fact that people watch their favourite entertainment in their own way - and whether they’re a Sofa Bear, a Night Owl or some other species, Virgin Media is the perfect habitat for all their TV needs."
