saracens vs northampton saints

A clash between Saracens and Northampton Saints leads BT Sport's Aviva Premiership coverage this weekend.

The league leaders Northampton travel to Allianz Park in north London to take on Saracens, who they beat 24-20 in last year's Twickenham final.

These games are always hotly contested, and with crucial points up for grabs, this encounter promises to be no different.

Northampton - who suffered a surprise 24-18 defeat at home to Exeter Chiefs last week - are now just two points clear at the top.

They have 26 points from seven games, having won five and lost two league matches so far.

Just behind the leaders, a trio of teams - Exeter, Bath and Saracens - are locked together on 24 points.

This means a win for Saracens - who drew 21-21 with Leicester Tigers last weekend - could see them leapfrog Northampton at the top of the table.

BT Sport viewers can watch Saracens v Northampton Saints on BT Sport 1 at 1pm on Sunday November 23rd.

Straight afterwards, at 3:15pm, viewers can watch Leicester Tigers take on struggling London Welsh at the Kassam Stadium in Oxford.

Leicester will take encouragement from their draw with Saracens, having experienced a difficult start to the season - by their own high standards at least.

The Tigers will be aiming for a comfortable victory against promoted Welsh, who have found it difficult to adapt to the rigours of Premiership rugby.

The Exiles have just one point from their first seven games, and lost heavily again last time out against Wasps (71-7).

Before Sunday's double-header, BT Sport viewers can enjoy a Friday night contest between Harlequins and Sale Sharks.

Both sides won last time out, with Quins beating Gloucester 22-15 and Sale Sharks seeing off London Irish 36-8.

The game, which will be played at Twickenham Stoop, kicks off at 7:45pm and will be shown live on BT Sport 1.
