Sky has launched a brand new broadband deal offering super-fast fibre services for £10 per month plus line rental.

The broadband provider claims this is the lowest standard price for fibre-optic broadband in the UK market.

Subscribers are able to access up to 38Mb download speeds with a 25GB usage allowance, receiving a free Sky Hub wireless router, Sky Talk, Sky Wi-Fi and Sky Broadband Shield.

"With more and more people wanting to try fibre for the first time, Sky Fibre is a great low-cost option for those who want fibre speeds but don’t need unlimited usage," the service provider stated.

"Sky Fibre will also see customers able to download an album in seconds and begin watching a TV show or movie on demand in less than a minute."

The new Sky Fibre broadband deal will complement Sky's existing unlimited fibre options: Sky Fibre Unlimited and Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro.

Sky said this expands its collection of fibre products in order to meet a wider range of consumer needs.

Lyssa McGowan, Director of Sky Broadband, claimed the firm is "always looking to give customers even more reasons to choose Sky".

"Sky Fibre means we can now offer super-fast speeds for just £10 a month – the lowest standard price in the UK," she stated.

"It’s perfect for those who want to try fibre for the first time."

Sky Fibre Unlimited offers download speeds of up to 38Mb with no restrictions on data consumption. The broadband deal, which Sky says is "ideal for busy households", is priced at £20 per month plus line rental.

Sky's top-tier super-fast broadband package - Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro - offers download speeds of up to 76Mb with unlimited data. This premium package costs £30 per month plus line rental.
