mayweather v pacquiao

The upcoming 'fight of the century’ between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao will be shown exclusively live on Sky Sports Box Office.

Pay-per-view subscribers will be able to watch the welterweight world championship unification clash on Saturday May 2nd for a one-off £19.95 event fee.

This eagerly-awaited bout brings together two of the greatest boxers of all time at the MGM Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Floyd Mayweather (47-0-0) is the undefeated world champion of five weight classes and holder of the WBC and WBA titles, while Manny Pacquiao (57-5-2) is the reigning WBO welterweight world champion and winner of ten world titles.

Barney Francis, Managing Director of Sky Sports, said the fight has "everything" and is set to be "one of the biggest sports events of the year".

"As the home of boxing in the UK and Republic of Ireland, we’re thrilled to be awarded the rights," he stated.

"We’ll provide Sky Sports viewers with the best possible build-up across our channels and outlets and the best coverage of the fight itself from our team in Las Vegas."

Analysis of the fight will be provided by Adam Smith, former world cruiserweight champion Johnny Nelson and former world lightweight champion Jim Watt.

Viewers will also be able to enjoy an extensive schedule of support programming in the run-up to the fight.
