Fear the Walking Dead is coming to the UK, after BT agreed a carriage deal for its parent channel AMC.

The channel will be made available exclusively to BT customers from September and will showcase the likes of Breaking Bad, Mad Men and the television premiere of the highly anticipated spin-off from The Walking Dead, as well as a library of movies.

The move is the latest step forward for BT's television platform, which in recent months has added Netflix, Sky Sports 1 and 2 and a new BT Store service offering ‘Buy to Keep’ movies and TV boxsets.

Last week also saw the company announce the launch of its new BT TV Ultra HD box and BT Sport Ultra HD channel.

Delia Bushell, Managing Director of BT TV and BT Sport, said, “We’re delighted to be launching AMC for the first time in the UK, enabling our viewers to watch series such as ‘Fear the Walking Dead’ exclusively from BT.

"We’re confident our viewers will enjoy AMC’s cinematic approach to storytelling and look forward to offering them an outstanding selection of TV series and films in the months ahead.”
