Sky customers can now catch seasons one to four of cult American crime drama The Wire on its On Demand service.

Despite not being recognised with any major awards, the study of power structures and policing is widely regarded as one of the best serial dramas ever to air on TV.

Another highly-rated crime drama available to On Demand customers is Ray Donovan, with seasons one to two now available.

Other shows to be added to the service include season one of Fortitude, seasons one and two of Broadchurch, seasons one to eight of Desperate Housewives, and season one of Intelligence.

However, there are a number of shows that are set to disappear from Sky On Demand by the end of the month, with viewers having one last chance to watch seasons one to four of Downton Abbey, seasons one to five of Modern Family and seasons one to three of Scandal and Revenge.

Time is also ticking on seasons one to four of Vera, Whitechapel, The Tudors and Kavanagh QC.
