Plusnet news

Plusnet customers have been hit by the news that their BT Sport TV package is set to almost double in price.

Users can access BT Sport 1, 2 and ESPN through the Sky TV platform and currently pay just £5.99 per month (with HD an extra £1.50).

However, in a statement confirming the increase, Plusnet said: "From 4th August the price of BT Sport from Plusnet on the Sky Digital Satellite Platform is changing to £9.99 a month for SD and £12.49 for HD, and will include BT Sport Europe, BT Sport 1, BT Sport 2 and BT Sport ESPN."

It means subscribers will not be offered the 'BT Sport Lite' option available to BT Sports customers wanting to keep their current package without paying extra for the soon-to-launch BT Sport Europe.

The new channel will be a part of the £9.99 per month package being offered to Plusnet customers, meaning it is potentially still cheaper than many other competitors.
