Plusnet news

Plusnet has introduced another discount for its broadband customers, announcing that its Unlimited Fibre Broadband and Calls package will now be free for six months.

According to ISPreview, the package, which offers speeds of up to 38Mbps, will increase to £14.99 a month thereafter, with monthly line rental payable for the duration of the contract.

Subscribers will also benefit from what the company claims to be truly unlimited usage, with upload speeds of up to 2Mbps.

Other features include a free wireless router and free activation, as well as free UK evening and weekend calls.

It is the latest drive from Plusnet to attract customers, having already launched an offer of 12 months' free unlimited broadband (£9.99 per month thereafter) in response to a similar offer from rival provider Sky.

However, the company has recently scrapped its 24-hour UK call centre, while also implementing price rises for phone services and BT Sport TV.
