Sky's NOW TV service is to offer a 30-day free trial for new subscribers to its Sky Movies pass.

The broadband-based streaming and catch-up service already offers customers a variety of Sky's most popular channels, including Sky Atlantic, Sky 1 and the Discovery Channel, but now appears keen to sweeten the deal for new customers with this latest offer.

It is the latest of several recent deals for NOW TV, with the most recent being its offer of giving customers the chance to take out the Sky Sports Monthly Pass on a no contract basis for £31.99 a month.

ISPreview claims that as with the other offer, the Sky Movies Pass Discount will not lock customers into a long-term contract, meaning they will be allowed to cancel once the first month is up. Subscribers wanting to keep the package will be charged £9.99 a month.

The deal is also reportedly only open to new customers, which may come as a blow to the service's current subscribers. It will be available until August 31st.
