BT Sport is gearing up for its live coverage of the UEFA Champions League group stages, on what could be one of the biggest nights in its short history.

All eight matches from Tuesday's schedule will be featured on BT Sport Europe, with in-game goal alerts meaning viewers don't have to miss any of the big moments from this season's premier European competition.

Two of the biggest teams in the Premier League are in action tonight, with Manchester United travelling to Dutch side PSV Eindhoven and Manchester City hosting Italian giants Juventus.

Other games on show include Real Madrid v Shakhtar Donetsk, Paris St Germain v Malmo, Wolfsburg v CSKA Moscow, Benfica v FC Astana, Galatasaray v Atletico Madrid and Sevilla v Borussia Monchengladbach.

BT admits that tonight will also be the first test of its Red Button capabilities, which will now be a regular feature when multiple matches are being broadcast.

Interestingly, despite red button technology not being anything new, the provider has said it will be pushing the service hard over the next few days, adding that it is a "market-leading product".

The new features, many of which will not be available for Sky viewers, largely remain to be seen, but BT has confirmed the inclusion of YouView, which will allow fans to keep up with all matches at the same time.
