Plusnet news

Plusnet customers throughout the country were left without broadband and phone services following an outage last night (September 9th/10th).

The problem was flagged up shortly after midnight and was acknowledged by the company on its Plusnet Help Twitter page, where customers from all over the UK reported a loss of service, including those in London, Manchester and Birmingham.

Shortly after 1am, the Plusnet Help account updated customers, advising them to do a manual reboot of their router in order to fix the issue, before adding that engineers were still working to determine the fault.

Most customers following the instructions saw their services return to normal this morning, although those still experiencing problems are advised to consult the Plusnet Help page or try rebooting their routers.

It comes little more than a week after customers suffered from restricted access to the company's website for two days, after it suffered an unspecified failure.

In July, Plusnet also dropped its 24/7 customer support for residential customers, changing the opening times to 7:30am to 10:30pm, seven days a week.
