Paris Saint Germain's glamourous UEFA Champions League tie with Real Madrid next week is set to be made available to Freeview customers via BT Sport's Showcase channel.

The titantic clash at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday September 21st will see Zlatan Ibrahimovic - one of the world's best strikers - attempt to lead his side to victory against a Real Madrid side boasting the likes of Gareth Bale and three-time Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo.

The following night will see BT Sport Showcase broadcast live coverage of the UEFA Europa League game between Schalke and Sparta Prague in Gelsenkirchen.

BT Sport is the only place to watch the UEFA Champions League and Europa League this season, although the broadcaster has promised to screen at least 12 Champions League matches and 14 Europa League ties exclusively live on BT Sport Showcase, where customers can enjoy the action for free.

Simon Green, head of BT Sport, said: “Once again football fans with Freeview will be able to watch some of the world’s best football with the big games and the major names in European football battling against each other.

"Next week’s coverage will show the high quality of the competitions and of BT Sport’s exclusively live coverage to those who are not already BT Sport customers.”
