Plusnet news

UK provider Plusnet has announced it is offering 18 months of free unlimited broadband, in a fresh drive to increase its customer base.

The deal, which is subject to line rental of £16.99 a month, offers unlimited downloads, 17 Mbps superfast broadband, a free router and activation, as well as home phone options.

Plusnet is stating the new deal is ideal for large families, downloaders and gamers, adding subscribers will benefit from support 365 days a year, either online or over the phone.

The move comes amid a similar deal that has seen the company offer free fibre broadband for six months, with £5 a month on top of line rental for the 34 Mbps connection after that period.

That deal also comes with all of the free perks that come with its free unlimited broadband package.

The new bundles will surely be seen as an attempt to win back the trust of customers, after Plusnet suffered a network outage back in September.
