BT has announced that the new feature-length documentary covering Real Madrid and former Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo will be available through its BT Store service.
'Ronaldo' was released in cinemas yesterday (November 9th), but BT customers can now watch it all from the comfort of their own homes.
The film, which comes from the production team behind similar pictures about Ayrton Senna and Amy Winehouse, aims to show the 30-year-old in a different and more personal light.
One of the most poignant revelations of the film is the fact that Ronaldo's mother had initially wanted to abort him after his conception, before going into detail about how his father and brother battled with alcoholism.
Football unsurprisingly features strongly too, with the star's career closely chronicled and scrutinised in a way that may take fans by surprise.
Earning the rights to show the film while it is still in cinemas will be seen as another coup for BT, which recently rolled out a new advertising campaign for its BT Mobile service, spearheaded by Hollywood star William Dafoe.
