Sky Movies has launched its annual Christmas channel, which will spearhead a new line-up of high-profile films for the festive season.

Audiences will be treated to a number of box-office hits, including Cinderella, Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb, Big Hero 6 and Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, which will be premiered on Sky Movies between December 18th and Boxing Day.

Sky is to release a new advert on Saturday November 7th to promote the new festive line-up, which will follow the Christmas Day lunch dilemma for eight-year-old girl Rosie.

It opens with her family gathered around the dinner table while Rosie looks at her plate in disgust as a pile of sprouts sit there untouched.

She then jumps from her chair and escapes under the table to discover another world that features Cinderella’s lavish ball, a triceratops in a museum and an intense Ultron battle, eventually finding her way back home to watch Sky Movies.

Ian Lewis, Director, Sky Movies commented: "We hope the advert reminds viewers of the magic of movies and the family adventures available to watch on Sky Movies this Christmas.”
