Budget provider Direct Save Telecom has announced it is to launch a new unlimited 17 Mbps ADSL broadband package for 95p per month.
The deal, which is subject a one-off £24.95 connection fee, is being marketed as the cheapest broadband bundle available in the UK.
However, it is only the cheapest deal if users pay up £138 for 12 months of line rental in advance, which works out at around at £11.50 a month, as it otherwise comes in at £18.70 per month, which, while still cheap, is more expensive than a similar deal offered by Fuel Broadband.
CEO Stavros Tsolakis said: “There can now be no dispute, our 95p unlimited broadband deal is the cheapest in the UK when combined with our £11.50 line rental offer.
“We have been working on this deal for some time now, we pride ourselves on being the lowest costing provider in the UK and are always striving to offer our customers the cheapest possible deals.”
Direct Save’s 95p deal is also a ‘broadband only’ offer, meaning there’s no landline calls included in the bundle.
