BT has upgraded its TV app for users of Apple and Android devices.

Among the new features are a brand new library of on-demand shows, with programmes such as Ex On the Beach from MTV, Killjoys from Syfy and Manhattan from AMC.

The revamped app has also added six UKTV channels - Watch, Home, Good Food, GOLD, Eden and Alibi - to its line-up, along with the Sony Channel.

Meanwhile, a dedicated kids section hosting shows such as Ben & Holly's Little Kingdom from Entertainment One and SpongeBob SquarePants on Nickelodeon has been launched.

Antonia Barton of BT TV commented: "The new BT TV app is much better all round - it is much easier to use and gives you great TV shows to enjoy when you’re out and about."

The app also enables users to link directly to their YouView+ set top box so they can set recordings even when they are not at home.
