TalkTalk TV is gearing up for the Oscars with special deals on award-winning and nominated films and coverage of the event.

Between Friday February 26th and Monday February 29th, showbiz and entertainment channel E! will be made available at no extra cost.

Viewers can therefore enjoy the build-up to the ceremony on Sunday February 28th, including the channel's Live from the Red Carpet show.

The ceremony itself will be shown on the Sky Movies Oscars channel, which usually costs £15 a month as part of the Sky Movies Boost package, but has been reduced by TalkTalk to £5 a month.

Highlights of the entire occasion can then be enjoyed the following evening on Sky Living, which is already included as standard in TalkTalk's Plus TV package and can also be included in the Entertainment Boost package.

In between all the Oscars coverage, movie buffs can enjoy a selection of top films via the Award Season collection in the newly-launched TalkTalk TV Store or through TalkTalk TV Player's rent and own section.

The likes of The Martian, Mad Max: Fury Road, Inside Out, The Imitation Game and 12 Years a Slave can be rented for just £3.45 - which TalkTalk says is the lowest price for any on-demand movie service in Britain.

Finally, TalkTalk is getting in on the Oscars-related fun by setting up its own movie awards. Customers can vote for their top film in the Best Picture category in order to be entered into a prize draw.

The top prize will be an LG Nexus 5X smartphone, while ten people will receive goodie bags. The competition runs until February 27th.
